Britney Spears’ number one hits have been turned into art pieces for a new Arizona exhibition.
Current and former Arizona State University graduate students have created a series of mixed media exhibits inspired by 11 Spears chart-toppers.
The Number Ones show, which opens on Friday at the LAS Gallery in Phoenix, will feature video, photographic and mixed media inspired by Spears’ biggest hits.
One piece, a sexy apron made from a lace tablecloth, was inspired by 2000 hit Oops!… I Did It Again.
Artist Mindy Sue Meyers, who admits to being a big fan of the troubled pop superstar, says, “The stitching on the apron offers a different identity to what would be a normal, homemaker apron.
“This is a duality that I think Britney has struggled with since she became a pop star.”
For another exhibit, inspired by Spears’ first hit …Baby, One More Time, artist Nick DeFord has depicted a smiling Spears using black and blue push pins on a corkboard.

As one of Hollywood’s top comedy actors Jim Carrey has played a range of eclectic roles, from a cartoon superhero to a Batman villain to a pet detective. And the man of many faces has broken the mould once again with his latest part in I Love You Phillip Morris, which began filming this week in Miami.
Strutting down the street in a tight black t-shirt, white jeans and a gold lion-buckled belt, with his washboard-stomached Brazilian co-star Rodrigo Santoro on his arm, a clearly buffed up and fake-tanned Jim was almost unrecognisable in character as a camp con man in the prison break comedy.
Based on a true story, the flick follows the tale of married father Steven Russell – played by Jim – who ends up serving time after a run-in with the law. While inside he falls in love with his cellmate, Phillip Morris. When Phillip – portrayed by Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor – gets released, Jim’s character tries to escape four times – leading to him being sentenced to 144 years behind bars.
To prepare for their latest celluloid offering, Jim, Ewan and Rodrigo apparently visited a local gay bar in Miami. “(They) looked like they were having a great time,” says a source. “They were laughing and joking and looked as though they were really trying to get into character.”

Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad agreed to put away their cat claws – for one day at least – to pose for the new cover of Rolling Stone.
They didn’t stand next to each other (Audrina Patridge got between them, while Whitney Port stood on Conrad’s other side).
The drama between the two is still brewing.
The two both hit the launch of the Scarlet HD TV Series bash in Los Angeles Monday night, and Montag couldn’t resist taking a swipe at her ex-BFF.
“I really pray for her,” Montag told Usmagazine.com.
Conrad’s bud, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth (who was also there), defended her pal.
“I wasn’t aware that Heidi was an especially religious gal,” she snapped. “But if she wants to pray, she can pray all she wants.”
When told that Montag is praying for her, Conrad rolled her eyes.
“That’s really nice of her,” she said before walking off.
