Barbara Streisand donates $5 million to a health program at Cedars-Sinai

Barbara Streisand has stunned staff at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by donating $5 million to a new health program.
The singer has launched the Barbra Streisand Women’s Cardiovascular Research and Education Program, which will fund research and education at the famous hospital.
Streisand says, “Women need to be educated about female cardiovascular disease, and the medical community must be propelled toward change. Just like with breast cancer, the impetus must come from women themselves, striving to become empowered to reduce their risks for heart disease.”

Dear Ms. Streisand,
I am in search of someone who will sponsor me, or perhaps can assist with my college education. I am not asking for charity, or anything illegal…I hope not. I am in need of financial sponsorship in order to finish my law degree. This is a request that I hope reaches you, because I want so badly to get the education. Unfortunately both of my parents are deceased, I am divorced and presently seeking employment.
If you have the time and could reply I would be so greatful. As I said, this is an effort to ask someone if they can help someone who can’t help themselve. Linda Kaye Lewis 606-476-2225; p.o. box 113 happy, ky 41746. lklewis8@windstream.net
