Mariah Carey snubs nights out partying with friends – because she fears she will damage her vocal chords.

The singer – famed for her ability to hit jaw-dropping high notes – does not want to risk her career by visiting nightclubs.

She says, “Too much partying isn’t good for me. I have to be very responsible when it comes to my throat.”
