Police in Milan, Italy have launched an investigation into a company trying to pass off a new line of clothing as items created and designed by George Clooney.

Two people are under investigation for alleged fraud after police seized garments and watches, which were to be launched under Clooney’s name next week.

The movie star, who is promoting new film Leatherheads in Italy – where he has a holiday home – says, “If someone tries to sell you clothes or watches that are based on me, don’t buy them.”
