Rosie O’Donnell has banned her children from TV & computers

Rosie O’Donnell has banned her children from watching TV and using computers, and she insists the rule has changed the youngsters’ lives for the better.
O’Donnell, who has three adopted children with her partner Kelli Carpenter, and a fourth child who Carpenter conceived through artificial insemination, claims her kids have thrived since she imposed a “no-media policy”.
And she advises other parents to give her strict no-TV policy a try.
She says, “We have a no-media policy. The school they go to has a no-media policy. There’s no television and no computer access. It has changed our lives.”

My son is 4 and has never sat down and watched tv, just to watch tv. I think this really contributed to his advance verbal and reading skills. He loved music, books and actually plays outside. If he asks to watch tv then we would, but he just reather do other things and I really prefer it. Good for Rosie….as long as she doesn’t take it to the extreem.

Banned from computers? Way to give them a leg up. I think that their time should be limited, and it shouldn’t be used as a babysitter, but a full on ban takes things to the wrong extreme.
