Woody Harrelson plans to fast for 40 days in Hawaii

Woody Harrelson is planning a strict starvation retreat on a remote Hawaiian island.
The Natural Born Killers star hopes to take time out from his acting career to live on nothing but spring water for 40 days. He explains, “I’m going to go to a small island in Hawaii, a really remote place, and drink the water right from the stream and then consume nothing else for 40 days. “I’ve always wanted to do it… I don’t take it lightly. I know it’s gonna be hard.”
Harrelson refuses to name the remote location where his fasting will take place - because the area is only known to native Hawaiians.
The movie star has lived on Maui with his partner and their kids for the past eight years.

Um, why? Doesn’t sound all that healthy to me.

I doubt it will last. He will come out after 1/2 hour saying that the role of his life and career was offered, and he will have to put this on hold, but he still takes it seriously….

I fasted for 7 days last year. It was awesome! My body cleansed and it was a great mental cleansing as well. I’ve read books on people who have done it for 30-40 days. You come out looking quite sickly but your cells have dumped out all the toxins and you actually reverse aging. It’s amazing!

I did 28 days earlier this year, water only. It was fabulous. The arthritis in my knee disappeared. This will be great for his health. But he should have some supervision, because not all fasts go smoothly. It’s not a good idea to be on that idea alone the whole time. And he should be taking it easy, not surfing.
