Jamie Lee Curtis on the cover of AARP Magazine for her 50th birthday
Jamie Lee Curtis has rolled back the years by posing topless to celebrate her 50th birthday. The Hollywood star stripped off to appear on the front cover of America’s leading magazine for the over 50s.
Curtis graces the cover of ‘AARP The Magazine’ posing in a swimming pool. “If I can challenge the old ideas about aging, I will feel more and more invigorated,” Curtis said in the magazine’s May/June issue. “I want to be older. I actually think there’s an incredible amount of self-knowledge that comes with getting older. I feel way better now than I did when I was 20. I’m stronger, I’m smarter in every way, I’m so much less crazy than I was then. Getting older means paring yourself down to an essential version of yourself. My style is a distillation. I’ve etched out who I am through myriad haircut attempts, outfit attempts, beauty attempts, diet attempts. It’s been an evolution. I’ve let my hair go gray. I wear only black and white. Every year I buy three or four black dresses that I just keep in rotation. I own one pair of blue jeans. I’ve given away all my jewelry, because I don’t wear it.”
Curtis is well known for showing off her body in movie roles in ‘Trading Places’ and ‘A Fish Called Wanda.’ Curtis says she will celebrate her birthday by cooking herself a breakfast of cereal, waffles, bacon, pancakes, omelets, and protein shakes. The star is also putting together a book of 50 of photographs that she will give to friends.

Boy, I hear that. I don’t understand people complaining or freaking out about getting older. I love having birthdays and getting a year older because, hey! I made it another year! and look how much more I know and how much better I made my life! Of course, I’m only 29….

She likes protein shakes huh. I got one for her, and if she plays her cards ru=ight, I’ll let her drink it from the spout.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a great role model for women. Even though she is definitely aging, she’s doing it gracefully and proudly. You can tell she’s had no work done, yet is perfectly comfortable getting on the cover of a magazine showing her nude face and body (wrinkles and all). That takes balls, especially in the entertainment industry. I say good for her!!!
