“The Jessica Simpson Curse” struck another Dallas team last night.

The Texas-born L.A.-based pop star whose trying to reinvent herself as a cute country crooner sat courtside while her two teams — LA Lakers and Dallas Mavericks — duked it at Dallas’ American Airlines center. At the 27-year-old’s side was devoted boyfriend Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who has stuck it out with his leading lady despite her being a bad luck charm during his pigskin performances. Although they were hootin’ and hollerin’ at the start, by the end of the night, it was sad sullen faces for the pair.

The basketball showdown ultimately resulted in a devastating loss for his home team: 102-100 in the Lakers favor.

Perhaps Jess should just stay home on game nights?
