Patrick Swayze’s mother pays tribute to him
Patrick Swayze’s elderly mother has paid tribute to the star, insisting he “doesn’t deserve” his battle with pancreatic cancer.
The Dirty Dancing actor was recently revealed to be suffering from the potentially life-threatening disease. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy – and U.S. tabloid the National Enquirer, which broke the story, claims he has just weeks to live.
Admitting her fears for her 55-year-old son, Patsy Swayze, 81, says: “He doesn’t deserve to get this. He just doesn’t deserve it. “He’s got such a big heart. He’s been such a good and generous and thoughtful person. It breaks my heart to know he’s suffering. But he bears it and he’s determined to beat this. He’s hanging in there and getting the best treatment he can.”

Agreed, no one deserves cancer. My brother Lenny, the sweetest man on Earth died at 50.

Cancer is like the worry-wart. If you worry to much on it- it will stay and take over your every thought and take over your ability to heal and believe. Warting off worry is just what Patrick has been blessed to do. He is strong and determined and God knows his heart so from our hearts and house to the Swayze’s – God Bless- and know our prayers & hearts are with you and on the prayer line straight to Heaven for you.

God bless his wife and the entire family. Have lost several family members to cancer. Not a good thing….

I cannot understand why no mention of Patrick’s first movie I saw with him in it: “North and South”, is never mentioned. He played a magnificent role in the movie and was a memorable one for me. I had never heard of him prior to that movie. It was quite a while after that movie that he did “Dirty Dancing.”
