Marion Cotillard apologizes for 9/11 comments
Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard maintains that her comments about the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center were “taken completely out context and [have] been crafted into a story that has no merit.”
Appearing on the syndicated TV show Access Hollywood, Cotillard was asked about her 2007 comments in which she appeared to suggest that the attacks were staged.
“At no point did I intend to contest the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, one of the most tragic days in all of history,” she said. “Nonetheless, I sincerely regret if my comments offended or hurt anyone.”

Popular Mechanics magazine said the explosions were caused by jet fuel pouring down the elevator shafts and then had enough explosive energy to blow out the elevator shafts and therefore compromising the integrity of the core structure of the buildings, yet the footage clearly shows huge explosions and fireballs at the points of impact (80 floors up!) How much fuel does Popular Mechanics magazine think passenger jets carry? A googol’s worth? Not enough to burn one of the terrorist’s passports which AMAZINGLY was found intact in the street in spite of all the dust and confusion!

Yes, the United States was attacked, and a few thousand people died, and? I knew none of those people, and it is severely indigenousness for me to say that I care about the people that died! As well, roughly 56,000 people are killed in car accidents a year in these United States, how come no one daily cries about those folks? She has the right to state an opinion, even if it’s totally stupid and ill-informed but we also have the right to now dislike her and realize she’s stupid and take that into consideration when we decide if we are going to see one of her movies. To say 9/11 was put together to avoid costly repairs might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard anyone say in my entire life on any subject. You’re exactly the kind of people that think Congressional committees investigate crimes and decide what of the professional FBI’s (that’s a criminal investigation bureau…hint; it’s in the name) investigation they will give creedence to; not judges or grand juries. Hint: congress can’t find its butt with a wad of toilet paper much less determine what damage a plane would do to a skyscraper. And Bush/Cheney couldn’t track down a terrorist without laying waste to an unrelated country after inviting actual terrorists there to kill our troops.

There is a pattern of control being exerted over these agencies that’s pretty much the same as what happens to a citizen, celebrity or otherwise. Bash ‘Lil George Tenent around ’til he comes back with the “intelligence” W and The Dick want, then fire him after you get the war authorization you want then give him a medal of freedom as a little sump’n sump’n. Then ignore, bash and fire any general that has pretentions of bringing actual experience to bear in your “war.” We still don’t know the actual no. of casualties from 9/11 since they strong-armed Christy Todd Whitman to ignore the deadly air quality in Manhattan and give the all-clear. Now they put a former Exxon/Mobil CEO into that slot…I don’t see any conflict of interest there…much.

There isn’t a sane intellegent person alive who can name one fact that would dispute the accepted truth. The myth is that the 9/11 Commission made and presented an unhindered complete, INDEPENDENT report. It isn’t independent when it has to go directly to the White House time and again for editing and redactment. The FBI was hardly given a free hand either before or after the attacks; efforts within the agency to get the flight school’s claims that foreign men were training to fly jets with absolutely no interest in learning landing procedures reached a certain level then inexplicably tanked…as for after the tradgedy, well, many call whatever got included of their investigations The 9/11 OMMISSIONS Report. As for thought, I think I would like NOT to ignore the facts. That’s why I deplore the ommission of people’s testimony who WOULD know the technical facts of air disasters and building architecture and metallurgy rather than be forced to accept the innuendo of the untrained who’ve obviously decided what we’re to believe and are quoting dead Presidents. Bush is a deliberately contriving, conniving, dishonest person, yet Cheney makes him seem like a tenderfoot scout in comparison. And YOU”RE unrealistic in not noticing that. Maybe the problem is you find them more persuasive than anyone should. Glad you found your ‘accepted’ truth.

Besides, there’s an issue here about the freedom to say things that really comes to the fore when people confuse petty, boorish, xenophobic hateful behavior with patriotism to where they’ll go after someone’s livelihood for making a public statement because they’re in the spotlight…no one in this country gave a crap about this actor when she said this; then some family values attention hound wrote “hate this phony poseur” now she’s got cachet, and all these zombie-slobber attention-starved public dole leaches that pass themselves off as “research” groups grab some attention they’d never get by being credible about anything scientific.
