Legendary Captain Kirk actor William Shatner has denied reports that he nearly died while undergoing routine hip replacement surgery. A source at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center said that his heart was beating erratically and that he might die on the table.

He said on his official website Monday, “I’m in absolute perfect health, I’ve never felt better in my life. Somebody made up an absolutely foolish story.”
