Mary-Kate Olsen opens up about her anorexia

Actress and mini-mogul Mary-Kate Olsen has kept quiet about her battle with anorexia since she was diagnosed right after she turned 18, but she’s opening up about it now, saying that the illness almost killed her.
She says, “There have definitely been times in my life when I just turned to people and said, ‘I’m done – this is too much for me. This is too over-whelming.’”
Dealing with illnesses such as anorexia has to be hard to deal with in itself, but having to deal with alone has to be just terrible. We hope that she’s working through it now and doesn’t feel the pressure to be ultra-thin.

She never said it was the pressure to be thin that made her anorexic. She said that her weight was the only thing in her life she could control, she was already thin back then. It’s the pressure to be a model for everybody and have to deal with college that made her anorexic.
