Cloverfield 2?

I haven’t seen Cloverfield yet, and it pains me. I know I would love it – it’s totally my kind of movie. But I have vertigo really bad… and I would seriously be barfing 10 minutes into it. I’ve had to walk out of the theater for far less. People who don’t even suffer from vertigo (basically motion sickness) were throwing up in the aisles. Don’t sound fun to me! Damn you J.J.!
So tell me – did you see it? How was it!
Matt Reeves, director of the J.J. Abrams-produced Cloverfield, is in talks with Paramount to helm a sequel.
On a $25 million budget, using a cast of unknowns, Cloverfield scored a $46 million opening weekend, setting a record for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Reeves has also cut a deal with GreeneStreet Films to direct The Invisible Woman, a thriller about a beauty queen-turned-criminal he wrote and will produce with Abrams. If Paramount can quickly work out a deal for a sequel with Reeves, Abrams, and Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard, the director would likely make that his next project and begin Invisible Woman afterward.

Cloverfield was a great movie, period. A sequel that delves more into the background would be very welcome!

Loved it. Loved it, loved it, loved it. The trailer did it no justice, though. Although…. I did get dizzy a couple of times. Oh but I def like to be SCARED with horror movies, and not just **gored** to death, as has become the trend. I Am Legend and Cloverfield have restored my faith in the modern horror flick.

It wasn’t a bad movie at all. It took me a minute to adjust to the motion but after that I thought the movie was GREAT. Different from the same ole same ole we usually see.

Now I want to see it! But I wanted to see I am Legend as well and I got so scared I had to leave about 25 minutes in.

Absolutely LOVED it! Very J.J. and although I expected to become motion sick, I had no problem at all! It was definitely scary and definitely what I had been psyching myself up for since this summer.

I thought it was awesome. I didn’t get motion sickness at all. I think people might be making too much of a deal of the motion thing. It really wasn’t that bizarre or anything.
