Kevin Federline’s attorney seeks more attorney’s fees from Britney Spears
Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has filed a motion asking the court to make Britney Spears pay attorney’s fees, again.
If the court grants his motion, Britney will have to pay in total, an amount of $500,000+ for her ex-husband’s attorney, since last July.
The court has already awarded Kaplan $120,000 in fees earned between July 30th and October 8th. Today’s motion, if granted, will see Kaplan getting another $300,000+ for work done between October 8th and January 4, 2008. In addition, he’s also asking for another $100,000 for fees that he plans to accumulate between now and the end of their custody battle, which is set for April.
A hearing on Kaplan’s request for attorney’s fees is set for March 10.
Maybe K-Fed should get a cheaper lawyer? Or maybe he should just get a job?

Well, normally I would agree with you about the cheaper lawyer or getting a job but given the way Britney has been acting and not showing up for depositions, court dates, etc., she should have to pay the extra money it’s been costing for Kfed’s fees, since she is responsible for the accumulation of them. Also, the whole concept behind custody hearings is doing what is in the best interest of the child(ren). Is she what is best for them right now? If Kfed had a cheaper lawyer (ergo less experienced, not experienced with high profile cases), what is in the best interest of those children would be shadowed by who could pay for the best lawyer. In this case, these children need for both parents to have equal caliber lawyers so that their best interest remain paramount.

This makes me sick! K-Fag only cares about the money. It’s obvious he never loved Britney and now that she’s hit rock bottom he’s milking this opportunity by hitting her with the kids and money. Why should she pay the man who’s keeping her kids from her? he should GET A JOB. He didn’t care a DAMN about his other kids when he hooked up with britney, why is he all of a sudden “dad of the year”?? Please- if Britney were a nobody he would be smoking joints not giving a damn. But because he has A LOT to gain he’s acting like the good guy. I’ve never seen the guy with either of those kids. Not once.

NYX, I couldn’t agree with you more. A cheaper atty would probably give those kids back to Britney and that is NOT what those kids need.

KAZ, don’t you think it’s great that you haven’t seen him out with the kids. That means the PAP’s aren’t following him. Those kids have been exposed to so much and to think, in 10 years when they google their mom, how they are gonna feel? And Kevin isn’t keeping the kids from her, it’s the Courts…do you seriously think those kids need to be exposed the mess she is? SERIOUSLY???
Do you know Kevin personally? How do you know he doesn’t love his kids. and funny enough, his 1st babies mama speaks very highly of him. to say he cares about the money is stupid, the money isn’t going to him, its going to pay for the atty fees. Don’t you think if she would show up and do what needs to be done, then maybe there wouldn’t be so many fees.
If the rolls where turned, people would want the same from him. Why should it be any difference for her, she isn’t doing what is right, for those kids, if not for herself.

How conveniently everyone’s forgotten that part of the reason Britney divorced him in the first place is because he was always out and never spent time with her or the kids?
And of COURSE the ex girlfriend will speak highly of him- she hates Britney! Don’t forget he was with Shar when he hooked up with Britney, do you honestly believe Shar’s going to do anything other add to the already dreadful position Britney’s in right now?
I personally don’t think Britney’s a fit mother and she seriously needs to get her act together. But I don’t by any means applaude this sloth either. I never liked K-Fag and just because Britney’s lost it doesn’t make him this swell guy that the press are trying to imply he is. As far as I can tell he’s never been any good. Yes, Britney’s a mess but that doesn’t make him a saint. I mean really, do you imagine him bathing them, tucking them in bed, feeding them etc full time?? No way.
The BEST thing that happened to this fool is the disaster that Britney has become. If anything, those kids should probably be with grandparents.
