Lipstick Jungle is probably going to tank.
Don’t get me wrong, I am of the many who miss SATC & am starving for more- I just don’t think Lipstick’s gonna cut it. Not with the Cashmere Mafia already ruling the town. I’m a huge fan of this new fabulous foursome … I’m afraid this trendy trio might fall on their faces. Not gonna lie, I’m going to watch- but with very low expectations.

I’m surprised you like Cashmere Mafia - its basically a cheap knock off of SATC! But I was thinking the same thing - Lipstick Jungle will air on a major network and the American masses will just confuse it with Cashmere Mafia and probably not watch it, or, alternatively, no give it the credit its due because of that stupid SATC knock off taking the spotlight away from what might be another Candace Bushnell classic…This was a dumb move by NBC.

I actually picked the book up at the thrift store a while back and read it. It was ok, but i really don’t know that anyone will get into the show. If you are expecting Sex and the City, you will definitely be let down. The book had some erotic stuff in it, but nothing compared to what we saw on SATC and they just aren’t witty or really very likeable characters.

I think i will be more interested in watching Lipstick Jungle. There is something about Cashemere Mafia, I don`t like. I can`t really put my finger on it, but one thing is for sure every time I finish watching it (i gave three chances), the characters seem off and not believeable especially Lucy Lui, the RedHead and Lesbian… i don`t know…Anyway, Lipstick Jungle is on my schedule….for now!

i heard the same thing! someone who works on Lipstick actually admitted that Cashmere was way better! i’ll give Lipstick a chance… but not expecting much
