It’s turning out to be another one of those crazy nights for Britney Spears. Earlier this evening, the LAPD responded to the Summit, the gated community where Britney lives. According to Officer Lopez, photographers breached security and tried to get to Brit’s house. There are other reports that Adnan Ghalib, Brit’s on/off paparazzo boyfriend, tried in vain to get through to see Britney but was denied access.

The 26-year-old, who was hospitalized in a psych ward on January 3 after a meltdown at her home, was seen outside her house in tears, cradling her dog. As she sat on the edge of a garden bed, dressed in Daisy Dukes, a green T-shirt, fedora and an overize jacket, photographers asked her if she was OK. The troubled star responded, “I’m fine. I’m sitting for once and having a nice time with my dog.”

Shortly afterwards, she returned to her home and both of her parents, Jamie and Lynne, arrived to speak to her. Britney then left the house in an SUV, headed towards Beverly Hills, with another photographer, believed to be Adnan’s pal Filipe Teixeira.

UPDATE: Britney just jumped out of the SUV and got into Adnan’s car.

UPDATE #2: Adnan has released the following statement via his photo agency, FinalPixx:

“The truth is that Sam Lutfi started an argument with Britney and the two ended up in a screaming fight. Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London.

“Britney called Adnan for help and he heard the distress in her voice and drove to the Summit immediately. While outside the gates he was denied access as Sam Lutfi had informed the guards that he was not allowed entry. When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off.”
