Christian Brando, dead at 49

Christian Brando, son of the legendary actor Marlon Brando, died at 1:47 a.m. Saturday morning.
He was admitted to the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in L.A. on January 11th, for an unknown illness. He was in the hospital’s intensive care unit, at the time of his death.
The cause of death is believed to have been pneumonia.
The actor is more noted for his legal troubles than anything else. In 1990, he was convicted of manslaughter for the shooting death of his half-sister’s boyfriend, Dag Droilet. He was released from prison in 1996. And in 2005, Brando pled guilty to abusing his then-wife, Deborah Presley.
