Brad Renfro’s ex-girlfriend says death was not caused by drugs

Brad Renfro’s ex-girlfriend says she is certain that his death wasn’t drug-related.
Rachele Leeper, who dated Brad off on and on for six years is convinced that he died from natural causes.
“I don’t have the coroner’s report, but, from what I was told by family members, he died in his sleep – it wasn’t because he had been partying from drugs or anything,” she said.
I’ve never heard of anyone dying so young from natural causes. And on the other hand, we’re hoping that it wasn’t drug-related.

I had a friend in college die of an totally out of the blue heart attack while playing Ultimate Frisbee. Yes, people do die young of natural causes. My friend had never even taken a drink in his life let alone drugs.

During the SAG memoorial segment, the picture they showed of Brad looked just like James Dean. Sad…

I’ve heard of a few rare stories where young people ’suddenly die’, but when upon following up on these stories I’ve found all of them had a direct physical cause.
1. Heart abnormalities can cause death, and most young people never have heart screening.
2. Magnesium, potassium, sodium, or water deficiency can cause death, as can way too much of any of the above…
Also, he was really drunk the night before - HOW drunk was he?
I know people who drunk way too much and ended up needing to go to the hospital. Was he in danger and decided to sleep it off rather than go to the hospital? Did he take a sleeping pill in conjunction with the alcohol?
There’s far too many unknowns here to even begin calling this ‘natural’ - BEING DRUNK IS NOT NATURAL!

Healthy young people do not die of natural causes, there is always something critically wrong with their body to trigger it. Such as a heart defect.
If he had a heart defect like an enlarged heart it would have been easy to find. If he had a magnesium, potassium, sodium, or water deficiency they could find that too.
Since such tests were inconclusive natural death is extremely improbable. If they had found anything wrong with his heart or body they would have let us know he died of natural causes.
Add this to the fact that the guy was a known drug user… Toxicology reports can take a while and his family might choose to not release the results of the reports even when they do come out.
This sounds like an open and shut case, say no to drugs…
