Owen Wilson spotted bong shopping

Owen Wilson is sparking some new concerns over his lifestyle after one source said that he went shopping at a marijuana bong shop earlier this week.
“Owen spent 20 minutes in the Green House Smoke Shop browsing the pipes and bongs. He bought one of the biggest bongs and spent almost $300 on it” an insider claimed.
When the actor realized he’d been spotted, the witness claimed he tried to hide, saying, “He was worried that someone might have seen him coming out…He hid behind a FedEx truck for 30 seconds before darting to his car!”

Addicts shouldn’t be using potentially addictive substances … The weed is only masking his depression. He needs to deal with his issues or else he’ll return to the harder stuff in time. Sad …

Marijuana is NOT addictive….It can be for some people. BUT I would rather him be smoking pot than doing some harder drugs i.e, cocaine, crack (like Amy Winehouse), crystal meth, or ectasy…

Unless you are a weed smoker (and by weed smoker I DO NOT mean light up a doobie at a party from time to time) you have NO RIGHT to judge and say what is addictive and what is not. Weed really is NOT addictive I have been smoking pot on and off for 14 years, there were years when I didn’t smoke and years when I did. There is no withdrawals from weed, no shakes, no detox, no next day suicidal feelings none of that shit. Let the man smoke the weed if he wants to, damn there are worse things he could be doing. Who the hell even knows if the bong was for him or if it was a hooka, no one knows except Owen. All in all I think its a little late to be talking about ‘gateway drugs’ when we are referencing a 40 year old man who OBVIOUSLY was into WAY harder drugs then pot. All in all people who do not smoke weed look at it as if it is the same as smoking crack and they do not want to hear otherwise.

People can be addicted to just about anything they can use to check out of their feelings. There are plenty of food addicts, sex addicts, et cetera - it’s not just alcohol or crack or whatever. And it’s ridiculously easy for people to quit one addiction and just switch to using something else to check out - like binge-eating instead of smoking, or smoking and drinking tons of coffee instead of drinking. It’s not about whether pot is an inherently addictive substance; it’s one of the many things that it’s especially easy for people to use in an addictive, self-harming way if they are already addicts. The only way out is to deal with the underlying issues, like by working the steps.
