Naomi Watts and Keri Russel lend their support.
Naomi Watts‘ brother Ben called her to break the news regarding the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger. But, she already knew. “Naomi is just devastated,” a close friend of the Watts family tells In Touch. “The whole family is overcome with sadness,” the insider adds. “She was supposed to arrive in Park City, Utah today to promote her film Funny Games at Sundance, but she cancelled the trip.”
Meanwhile, Waitress star Keri Russell stopped by Michelle Williams’ Brooklyn home this afternoon. Michelle’s mom, as well as her best friend, actress Busy Philipps, who also happens to be Heath’s daughter Matilda’s godmother, were inside. “It was very sweet,” an eyewitness tells In Touch. “Keri walked up and handed a card to a police officer. She asked him to give it to Michelle’s mom before walking away silently,” the insider adds.

I just wanted to say thanks for not posting the picture of Michelle Williams directly on your website…I know people want to know how she is doing and see her but she is going through hell right now and she is not one to seek out the attention even when things are going well…I wish others sites and photographers would respect that and leave her alone while she grieves. I can’t even imagine the pain she is going through, I really hope people give her that privacy…my prayers are with her and their child.

I wanted to say the same thing as Cat. Thanks for being respectful of Michelle at this time. Of course her return to NYC is big news, but posting pictures just doesn’t seem right. Thanks for always giving us the right amount of gossip, but with the respect that these people deserve.
