My heart goes out to them. Poor little Matilda is too young to know what is going on and she is too young to really remember her father. It’s all very sad.

is it just me or is it annoying to anyone else that someone would snap pictures of them at a time like this?!?! not surprising, but still sucks!

I don’t like that you posted these. I get that it’s supposedly newsworthy and that you weren’t the one who took the pics, but you could have refrained from displaying these. What a violation. I do feel like there’s a line in there somewhere and that it’s been crossed. Leave the grieving to mourn in peace.

yeah, i’m disappointed that you posted these as well. of course, i’m guilty for coming here and looking at them.

The smiling face of Matilda… next to the SADNESS over Michelle’s face… the contrast is killing me… This whole thing breaks my heart.

Once again these are MORE pictures that are NOT ok to have posted all over the internet. Shame on you, you have posted SEVERAL pictures about Heath and his passing that are unacceptable. Shame.

Honestly this kills me. It makes me so sad for that little girl to grow up with no dad. This whole thing breaks my heart for that family.

I don’t think it’s appropriate to post these pictures. I read this blog b/c it has some standards, but I feel this is in poor taste.
January 24th, 2008 at 5:53 am
I don’t think it’s respectful or appropriate to be posting these pictures. I frequent this site because you usually have good taste in what you post, but I think these should be taken down.

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else. Sure, I want to know the story behind what happened, but I think that Michelle and Matilda have enough to deal with right now without being bombarded by the paps as soon as they get home. My curiosity in no way outweighs their right to privacy and respect. Let them deal with the situation in peace.

When somebody dies, the name isn’t released pending the family being notified. But in todays world if you’re child is a star and dies you get to find out on the news. Really sick.

I have to agree that I don’t like that these pictures are posted either. You can’t avoid them as you’re scrolling down. If you’re going to post them maybe just make it a link you have to click to jump too - for those that really need to see this. These and the pictures of him being taken out in a body bag.
I agree with a Kim - a line has been crossed.

Why is everybody complaining that the pictures were posted, but go to the extra effort to look?? I though you did it tastefully with the separate link.
January 24th, 2008 at 8:39 am
I agree with Amanda! It is a seperate link and you only have to look at them when you click on it! THey are not right there in your face! So shame on all of you who are posting that it is wrong to have them up when you chose to look!
January 24th, 2008 at 9:06 am
They weren’t a seperate link this morning when people were posting.
Thanks for making the change though!
January 24th, 2008 at 9:21 am
The pictures used to be posted like all the others on the main page. They were redone so that you have to choose to click on the link in order to see them after people started complaining.

I can’t help but think little Matilda is smiling thinking she will be seeing her Daddy. It is too heartbreaking. Poor Michelle, can’t imagine!
January 26th, 2008 at 7:10 am
I agree that the paps should leave them alone, but we are all looking at the pics. It just breaks my heart to know that Matilda will never get to play with or hug her daddy again. And she’s too young to understand any of this or really remember him. I’m sure Michelle will tell her things about him so she never forgets him. Rest In Peace Heath… You are greatly missed.
