People is reporting that Britney Spears did in fact, show up for her afternoon court appearance today. She got out of the car long enough to get bombarded by paparazzi and said that she was scared and got back in and left:

“I’m scared. I want to get in the car. I’m going in the car,” she said after stepping out of the car as photographers crowded around her.

Britney Spears, 26, then got back in the car. Police tried to coax her out, but she slammed her back against the seat and shouted, “No!”

Wasn’t Adnan Ghalib there to protect her from the swarm of the paparazzi? And what was she scared of, having to testify in regard to what happened on January 3rd?

I hope she gets her act together for the sake of her kids.
