This makes me totally sad! I enjoy the Globes much more than the Oscars. The Globes provides alcohol – so all the celebrities get drunk and make interesting speeches! I’m totally going to miss the red carpet. It’s my favorite part of the whole dang show!

NBC is scaling back Sunday’s Golden Globes award telecast to avoid a showdown between actors and writers during the ongoing writers’ strike.

The L.A. Times reports the peacock network will air a special edition of Dateline to showcase the nominees, followed by a press conference announcing the winners and an entertainment-news show covering the after parties.

Last week it was announced that celebrities would not be appearing on the planned awards show.

They’re going to announce the winners at a press conference!? WTF! When will the madness end!
