Hospital staff: “No one wanted to sit with Britney”

An insider at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center tells Usmagazine.com that nobody wanted to be Britney Spears’ monitor last night.
Spears was rushed to the hospital around 11 p.m. and was designated a “special needs” patient, meaning “they have either overdosed or tried to commit suicide,” the source says.
With “special needs” patients, the hospital source said, “we watch them so they don’t hurt themselves and watch the people who come visit them to make sure they don’t pass anything to them.
“So we got a call to go have someone sit with her,” the source added. “None of us wanted to go sit with her.”
UPDATE: Britney is designated as a “Special Needs” patient & is on 72 hour lockdown!!
After a reportedly intoxicated Britney Spears was rushed to L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday, the singer was designated a “special needs” patient,” meaning “they have either overdosed or tried to commit suicide,” a hospital source tells Usmagazine.com.
“So we go stay with these patients and monitor them constantly,” the source adds. “We watch them so they don’t hurt themselves and watch the people who come visit them to make sure they don’t pass anything to them.”
However, the source said when they got the call to monitor Spears, “none of us wanted to go sit with her”.
She will be on lockdown for 72 hours, a source tells Us.

This is a very sad situation. To watch someone who was once at the top of her game fall so far. From the looks of it she has hit rock bottom. I am not a fan of Britney’s but I truly hope the poor thing finally gets the help she needs. Poor soul.

Actually, we are lucky she isn’t dead yet.
I think it is horrible whats happening to her.
My heart just aches. She didn’t deserve any of this.
How sad.

She needs help.

This breaks my heart.
If that hospital story is true, then the medical staff is unprofessional and disgraceful. Britney is a patient. Her needs come first.

Joelle I totally agree. If that story is true the staff is unprofessional and despicable. She’s a patient who has mental issues. They don’t even know her so they shouldn’t judge her.

Why the hell not? What is the difference between her and anybody else in that situation?? It’s your job assholes and if you have that kind of attitude towards caring for another human being, get the hell out of the profession!!! You make me sick. I’m not a Brittany fan, but it really pisses me off when professionals in the health care industry who are supposedly there because they want to “HELP PEOPLE” act like low-rent jackasses. The wheel rolls people.
