Madonna to adopt Cambodian child next?

Pop icon Madonna seems more like a Goodwill Ambassador every day. Following reports that she may expand her diverse family with another adopted child, this time from Cambodia, the singer and her film-director husband, Guy Ritchie, jetted off to India to ring in the new year in a remote village in the northern state of Rajasthan.
The festivities began after the Ritchies and five friends arrived in Jodhpur via chartered plane from the Maldives, according to the Hindustan Times. Since welcoming 2008 at a heritage hotel, the singer, 49, reportedly is going to stay in the region for five or six days more, during which time she is expected to visit Jaisalmer’s sand dunes.
London-dwelling Madonna also may have a trip to the lake palaces of Udaipur on her itinerary, provided that her tight security deems her travel plans safe, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
Madonna has a great deal to celebrate. Just days ago, she was granted full custody of David, 2, following a favorable social worker’s report that described the icon as “a perfect mum.” The singer has a daughter Lourdes, 11, with trainer Carlos Leon and a 7-year-old son, Rocco, with Guy. The family must be looking forward to another happy and healthy year together!
