Jude Law spends Christmas in Cuba!

Jude Law and ex-wife Sadie Frost will spend an unconventional Christmas in Cuba - learning to dance the Salsa. The couple will take their children Rafferty, 11, Iris, seven and Rudy, five, plus Frost’s son from a previous relationship, Finlay, 17, to Havana where they will learn the South American dance moves.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, “They’ve already started joking about Jude’s lack of rhythm. No doubt there will be a lot of stomping on Sadie’s toes.”

Actually, the salsa is not a South American dance. It originated in Cuba and became popular in both Cuba and Puerto Rico. Think of it as an island or Caribbean dance

If Jude likes Cuba so much why doesn’t he move there and work with the great Cuban film industry so he can pump more anti-american and pro-communist propaganda into Latin America and the US?
Or could it be that his salary would drop and he won’t get as many perks???

What the heck does Jude’s vacation in Cuba has to do with antiAmerican propaganda. A lot of celebs go to Cuba. With Jude he makes it a point to take his children somewhere where they can celebrate without getting harrased by the paps.
They spent last Christmas in Africa in an orphanage where he directed a Christmas play and where his children played with orphans and distributed gifts to children.

I can understand Al’s point of view. Many Cubans living in exile in the United States as well as abroad believe that when tourists (especially celebrities) vacation in Cuba, they are effectively legitimizing a communist regime that has impoverished and subjugated an entire nation.
Of course, Jude Law is free to vacation wherever he wants, but perhaps a more prudent choice would have been better. Since he is a celebrity and his every move is reported on, he could have sent a clear message that the Cuban people deserve to live in a free society very much like the one that has made him an international star living in luxury.
For many people that have been forced to leave their countries and families behind because of political oppression, seeing someone of Jude Law’s fame having fun while just a few miles away there are people starving is a bit of a slap in the face.
Just wanted to let those that do not have first hand knowledge of what a terrible situation exists in Cuba know why folks like Al feel the way they do.
