Finally! Nick & Vanessa Engaged?
Nick Lachey has popped the question to gorgeous girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo- & the couple plan to marry this spring.
“They’re moving forward with plans for an April wedding,” a close friend told The ENQUIRER. The engagement comes slightly more than a year after Nick, 33, & Jessica Simpson announced their split. Now Nick and Vanessa are mulling destinations for their wedding and honeymoon, disclosed a friend.
“Since they both love Baja, Mexico, it will probably happen south of the border, where they first fell in love.”
Exciting!!! TEAM LACHEY!!! I don’t know how much I love Vanessa, but I’m so glad Nick is moving on & now Jessica will see what she’s lost. We all know the thing with Tony Romo won’t last.

Wow how mean you are. Just because Jessica and Nick broke up doesn’t mean you have to wish her ill. Nick treated her badly and was disrespectful. Was it real love if it is so easy to move on and comitt to the next thing that crosses your path? I think not.

Ummm C, wasn’t there talk of Jessica “walking out” on the marriage (as in cheating) before they divorced? At least he WAS divorced when he moved on.

I wonder what Jessica Simpson thinks of them. As an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys I hate the fact that she is dating Tony Romo. Just bothers me.

I don’t believe for a second Jessica was cheating on him. What were your sources?
He was not divorced when he started dated. The marriage only legally ended June 30, 2006. Vanessa was in his video in the Spring of 2006. He also dated others before her. He couldn’t wait to start dating. In fact it was reported that Jessica was very upset because it was so easy and fast for him to move on. I recall watching her cry during a concert because she was distraught over his dating before the divorce was final. Check your facts.

Why would Jessica care?
Nick has said he “she (Jessica) will always be my big love” and I think he still does love her. As far as he was concerned she was the one.
I don’t believe it ended for no good reason, but I can’t imagine for a second that his feelings for Vanessa compare to his for Jess.
I remember when Vanessa blatantly said she wanted to be a celebrity and not a VJ anymore. She’s after fame.

Um,C,I think the jackass guy - Steve O or something - confessed to a fling with Jessica when she was married to Nick. Also something with the Maroon 5 guy dunno before or after.
Jessica - as evidenced amply in camera - is dumb and immature. Nick was smart enough to know that, but still married her. Please remember he was bigger than her when they married.
No one wants a lifetime with a twit. She can hop from fling to fling as long as her youth lasts and then become a trophy wife. Hopefully. Eh.

C. At that Z100 Jingle Ball back when she was married to Nick, Jessica Simpson was seen kissing Adam Levine. Multiple people came forward with similar stories about this story. At the same time Bam’s father came out and told a story about his son sleeping with Jessica. Both Adam and Bam said they did not. Bam finally came forward saying his father was telling the truth and his fiance at the time also came forward about this.
At the same time all these reports came out that Nick was cheating. Sources close to Jessica came out saying that Joe Simpson was feeding these stories in order to make Jessica come out looking better then Nick. Jessica herself stated she left Nick. She wanted something more. Sources close to her state that Joe wanted Jessica to get another 15 minutes of fame so he wanted her to leave Nick (whom he never liked) so she could get it. The whole thing backfired and Nick came out better then Jessica. Nick was bigger then Jessica before and during the marriage Joe Simpson fielded offers for Nick which he either got them to include Jessica or got them to take Jessica instead. NIck spoke about this as did some of the companies trying to get Nick to work with them.
Nick may be moving on quickly but what else should he do. I do agree Jessica was the Love of his life but she broke him into pieces and he shouldn’t have to sit around wasting away for years ecause of it. Nick said on Oprah just this week that he learned from Newlywed’s that he won’t put his love life on display for camera’s. So maybe he is boring to some people but I think he is pretty smart this time around. While I loved him with Jessica and I was a fan from back in the day pre newlyweds, I think that what is meant to be will be.
I agree with ICK no one wants a lifetime with a twit. She acts stupid to be cute. Gets famous for it and then tries to get the world to think she is smart. Believe me I saw Newlyweds she is not smart at all.

I find it hard to believe that moving on was easy for him at all. If Jessica hadn’t always insisted on having three people in her marriage, one being her FATHER, I believe they would still be married. She’s the one that always put daddy before her husband. Hopefully, she’s learned her lesson about that, but I doubt it. Nick deserves someone to give as much emotionally to him as he did to Jessica all that time, which he so obviously did willingly with no reciprocation. She needs to grow the hell up and realize there is more to life than a competition with Britney and Christina for headlines and he deserves to find all the happiness he tried to build with her when her own notariety was all she was focused on.

Jessica left Nick. Nick was not going to mope around when he gave his all in this marriage and comply with her father’s do this and do that command. I adore Nick’s down-to-earth kinda’ guy and was glad he found someone that he is more compatible with. I hope Nick and Vanessa’s relationship last a very long time!
