Other celebs support Jennifer Love Hewitt’s view on weight.

Petra Nemcova: “There are different angles that everybody, even if you’re in great shape, can look bad in a photograph. And printing these images is definitely influencing people’s minds – the stars themselves, but also the people who are reading and looking at the images, the teenagers. It’s definitely good that she spoke out.”
• Rosario Dawson: “They’ll make a whole story about it if someone gains 5 lbs. … It think there is a huge obsession with size-zero jeans, and it’s just really scary. I don’t really know where that comes from. We’re not really in the Twiggy era anymore. It makes me really nervous, because I don’t know how in the world we’re supposed to be that thin unless we’re totally starving and drugging up.”
• Anne Hathaway: “[As an actress], most of the year, your body is your own. But to be ridiculed for it is upsetting. But to also have to defend it or explain it or rejoice in it or put it down, or to be expected to have a public opinion about it … I don’t understand when that happened. I don’t think women should only be defined by their bodies and their weight. It’s a cycle we’ve been in for some time, and I don’t really like it.”
I agree with everyone, what do you guys think?

While I do agree, she deos have an extremely large and flabby lower body. With that much time on her hands, why wouldn’t she work out? We’re not talking about a 40/50 year old! I am just shocked that she let her self go so badly!

I do agree with the celebs. Why do we have to be skinny?? What is the problem with having a full figure?? I do not agree with big helmet she has not let herself go. She is beautiful and it is opinions like that that make society think that women should be thin. Can we just be happy with our bodies without having to always worry! What has happened to us!

Hasn’t J.Love endorsed fitness products? I saw her on Ellen promoting some machine or another … anyways; I think it’s more that she went from fit to flab. These are people who make a career out of their appearance, so it only stands to reason they will be judged on how they look. Does it go too far? Of course it does. Should little girls get their sense of beauty (inside & out) from their parents, family, teachers and friends rather than the media? Of course they should. Take it all with a grain of salt and invest in reality.

Who gives a sh*t if she doesn’t work out?? I don’t either, most people I know don’t. Just because she is “famous” doesn’t mean she has to live up to anyone’s standards except her own. She is not on drugs, SHE IS NORMAL. My hat is off to her and I hope she continues being exactly who she wants to be, skinny or fat or whatever!!

I started to comment on this ealier when helmet was the only one listed and instead I backed away and bit my tongue. I’m so glad I did. Blondey said it so much better and it was much more nicely put that I was intending.
I feel sorry for helmet’s significant other considering the standards to which they have to adhere.

I can’t stand when celebs appear to be supporting her.. when you know behind the closet they are eating celery sticks and watching every ounce they weigh. It is so hypocritical of this industry.

If a male celeb had a not-so-perfect body none of this huge spectacle would be made….ridiculous.

Wow, what the heck?! I didn’t say she was fat and unattractive! All I said was it is a shame she let herself go. That is a fact! It’s a shame she has a fat ass now, when she has all bleeping day to work out – AND she is young! You don’t need to eat salad all day to prevent what she has going on!

I agree with J. Love, but I think the rest of those celebs are being hypocritical. They’re all very thin and probably obsessed with their weight.

Sorry big helmet. I just got to emotional because I think we are all different shapes and sizes and we should not judge people on wether they work out or not.

kbs, why apologize to big helmet? he/she/it is an idiot! I love jlh and when she was a sub-zero size, wasn’t she a teenager? hello! she is a maturing woman and all sorts of things go on with the female body. could she work out a little more? maybe, but she is COMFORTABLE with who she is and what her body looks like and i for one think she’s absolutly right.
