Angelina Jolie to star in Kathi Lynn Austin movie

Angelina Jolie will star in another true story soon, the tale of intelligence operative Kathi Lynn Austin, according to Variety.
Austin, who has most recently worked on contract for the U.N. Security Council, has undertaken field missions in Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America. The drama will focus on a fictional arms dealer inspired by Victor Bout, the shadowy Russian who is considered one of the world’s most prolific dealers in illegal munitions.
Apparently Jolie thinks this one has franchise potential (Sounds to me more like a “Beyond Rangoon” than a “Bourne Identity” but I didn’t type the thing, so I really don’t know), and is apparently keen on doing something where she can play the same character a couple of times over – without having to wear revealing swimsuits, crop tops or raid Tombs.

viktor bout is one evil motherfucker; responsible for the deaths of millions of people with his arms dealings with anyone, anywhere, of any ideology, for the cash. don’t know anything about austin, but if she was tracking him, she’s some fierce woman.

Acting is her job, just like lots of mothers have jobs outside of the home. Stop hating.

Paramount just optioned the rights to the story, neither the book or script has been written. Won’t film at the earliest until 2009. Angelina has nothing until then.

Another movie I won’t see..as far as not liking someone you don’t know, I know her pretty well,I know shes a liar and a freak…and she always talks about her personal life to any one who will listen. Now Brad is doing the same thing, as well as James Haven…

I believe this movie is probably going to flop…just like her last few movies. To me – she is just not a very believable character anymore.

Actually Kathi is a very kind, sweet, and beautiful woman. She has the heart to match! She is very passionate about her career and humanity. She truly believes in what she does, because of this, yes that does make her fierce. I should know, she’s family.
