Jennifer Love Hewitt loves her body.

It should be the time of her life for Jennifer Love Hewitt, instead the newly engaged actress is taking to the Internet to speak out about unflattering photos of herself snapped by the paparazzi during her Hawaiian getaway with fiancé, Scottish actor Ross McCall. (Go here to see those pictures)
“Like all women out there should, I love my body,” Hewitt, 28, wrote on her blog after photos of her in a bikini hit the Web. “I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family.”
Hewitt, who has modeled for Hanes, explains, “I’ve sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women’s bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.”
She adds, “A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”

I agree with everything she has said. I’m a “voluptuous and curvaceous” girl, but there is no way I will wear a bikini.
BTW. While I think that she is very beautiful, and I see nothing wrong with her “normal sized body” there is no way she is a size 2. She says she loves her body and isn’t ashamed, but then lies and says she is a size 2?

Hate to break it to everyone BUT homegirl is NOT a size 2. She is at least a 6-8 which is NOT fat, the fact that she isnt tight and toned is what makes her look bigger then she is. Hit the gym Jennifer and get over it, you get paid millions to be a shitty actress and people taking pictures of you is part of that deal. I am SO sick of women using the ‘Normal’ or ‘Average’ excuse when it comes to them being FAT, ‘normal’ for American women is borderline obese, wake up people.

It’s good she spoke out, and I, honestly, don’t think she was referring to herself as being a size 2. I think what she meant was Hollywood considers size 2 big and size 0 is what they consider desirable. I think…Could be wrong.

Yup, I agree with you all. She could have just said, “I’m a beautiful size 10 with great curves,” and it would have been the truth (more or less). But she had to expose her insecurities and hint that she’s a size 2. Size 2 my ass. I wear a 2/4 in pants and there’s no way she could fit into my clothes.
She deliberately got the paps to take these photos and now she’s paying the price. I wonder if she thought everyone would compliment her?

Really glad there are other people talking about this lie! What hypocrisy. “I love my body and want to help other women love theirs, but I’m going to lie and pretend I’m a size 2.” Um, that’s not loving your body, that’s plain lying. She’s a size 12 at least. And I’m glad someone mentioned Tyra - she spent decades PROMOTING extreme thinness by being in the modeling industry, and now that she’s fat, she wants to fight on the other side! Why didn’t she fight for fat people when she was thin? Typical Hollywood hypocrisy. These people make me sick.

Jen is not a 2 or a 12. A size 12 would be really fat at 62.5 inches tall. I wear a 6 at 64 inches and I am normal size(medium framed-not average size like most size 14 women). Jen is small framed and out of shape probably a size 6.

i love how you said that being a size 12 would be fat at 62.5″ im a size 12 and im 5′ im not fat. and im very toned and in great shape. i think what would be great is if everyone would stop looking to judge other people. cus its people like you that cause the eating disorders and the hollywood stereotype. congratulations on your size 6.
