It Keeps Getting Worse

Britney Spears made a name for herself as a happy, wholesome pop star who was saving herself for marriage.
But lawyer Eric Ervin, who worked with Spears as a teenager, tells Us Weekly in its new cover story that the “virgin” image Spears portrayed was, in his words, a “PR blitz.” In fact, Us reports in its new issue that Spears lost her virginity at 14 to boyfriend Reg Jones, and that she and Justin Timberlake were intimate from the beginning.
Something Spears also kept secret: Her family’s tragic history.
Us has learned that Spears’ paternal grandmother, Emma Jean Spears, in June 1966 committed suicide at age 31. Britney’s grandmother, who suffered from depression, shot herself in the chest with a shotgun at the grave of her infant son who had died eight years earlier just three days after being born.
A local newspaper article obtained by Us reported at the time: “The shotgun had been pressed against the woman’s chest and she apparently pulled the trigger with a toe of the right foot from which a shoe had been removed.” The newspaper reported that Emma Jean had attempted suicide three times before.
Emma Jean Spears left behind four other children, including Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, then an eighth grader. Two of Jamie Spears’ brothers ended up with criminal records and homeless.
Don’t we all have demons from our past?

I’m so tired of this Britney thing. She is a human being of course she may have a past. Instead of constantly trying to pull up dirt why not leave her alone until she wants to be helped or until she finally realizes she is a grown woman who needs to take care of her resposibilities.

Until she stops with the drugs and the alcohol, she will never be able to SHAKE her past and deal with the demons!

we all have tragedy in our families, of course we don’t have the intimate details splashed all over the magazines and papers. What is in this girl’s past is nobody’s business, she isn’t running for office or trying to set a moral standard. Yes, she makes some pretty bad decisions and she isn’t taking the right steps to correct her mistakes most of which she will regret for the rest of her life. But she’s going to really have to hit bottom before whe wakes up. When that will be is anyone’s guess.

Maybe ppl should just leave her the eff alone and she’d get better. How can one possibly live their life and deal with life’s trials and tribulations when you have ppl following you, chasing you, running you down. yes she did choose this career path but anyone in her shoes would fall apart like she has.
LEAVE HER ALONE AND GET WELL for christ’s sakes. I don’t understand why her tragedies are any more or less gradeur than say yours or mine. Poor girl lives under the effin microscope.

Wow this is totally f*cked up. What does her grandmothers suicide have to do with Britney? She wasnt even BORN when it happened. People will do anything for a quick buck these days.
