Heather Mills To Rid The World Of Meat-Eaters

Activist Heather Mills is campaigning to rid the world of meat-eaters – in a bid to end global warming. The estranged wife of Beatles star Paul McCartney will appear at Speaker’s Corner in London’s Hyde Park – a specially designated space where public speaking is allowed – to voice her views promoting vegetarianism. The one-legged former model is convinced that plant-rich diets reduce environmental harm.
Mills has also been lined up to appear in two ‘green’ advertisements for the Vegetarians International Voice for Animals (VIVA) organization, blaming carnivores for rising earth temperatures. One advert will see Mills poke fun at her disability – she lost her right leg in a 1993 accident – telling meat-eating environmentalists, “You haven’t got a leg to stand on.”
Mills says, “End your involvement in this vandalism overnight. Change your diet, change the world!”

That one legged ho! She should have been in that movie Grindhouse: Planet Terror. She’d have been an authentic one-legged-bitch!

She “is convinced” that not eating meat reduces our global impact because it’s a fact. Livestock bred and raised for slaughter and dairies are responsible for a large percentage of greenhouse gases.

So are the zombies driving SUV’s and using computers! In fact, to get proper protien by not eating meat people have to eat more beans. AND BEANS….they cause greenhouse gases!
I would guess that the average dairy farm does less harm to the environment than the same space used in suburbia! A couple of tractors…a few hundred cows…a few hundred acres of GRASS LAND.
vs….1000’s of trees cut down to build houses….hundreds of SUV’s hundreds of lawn mowers…millions of gallons of water used to water lawns.
You do the math….

I have responded to this before. When I see the majority of celebrities (and those that think they are) reduce their footprint by limiting their travel, reducing the number of homes they own with the number of utilities, ride a bicycle instead of driving around in limos, Range Rovers, Bentleys and etc., than I will give up meat.
In other words, I will be eating meat for a long time because they will always attend premieres around the world, have multiple house, etc. You think John Travolta is flying just 4-10 people in that 747 he owns on water vapor?
Have her talk to her “elite” set first. Than she can try to convince me.

stumpy: although suvs and computers or watever contribute to global warming, if you care to do a little research factory farming had a tremendous inmpact on the environment. its not just a matter of a few hundered cows and a couple tractors. there is no grassland. thousands of cows spend their entire life indoors standing in so much feces that the amonia produced from it burns their legs.
i cant remember the statistics but the number of animals killed an hour is staggering, and there really are serious effects on the environment and peoples health.
im not going to get all in it because everyone is probably going to shoot me down, but factory farming is like an animal holocust, what goes on is mindnumbing. and i suggest to anyone who thinks ‘meat is yummy’ look into it….. i used to think cheese was yummy, but ill never ever eat it again
