Nick Hogan: BUSTED
Nick Hogan is being booked on criminal charges related to his Aug. 26 car crash – while his attorneys tell PEOPLE, “We are confident the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident.”
Hogan, 17, turned himself in Wednesday on a charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. A source close to the Hogan family says that Nick will be tried as an adult.
In August, Hogan’s yellow Toyota Supra careened off a four-lane highway in Clearwater, Fla., and crashed into a 25-ft.-tall palm tree. Hogan sustained minor injuries and was released from the hospital the next day.
His passenger and friend, John Graziano, 22, was critically injured in the crash and remains hospitalized.
Bollea Family Statement. Nick Bollea’s attorneys, Morris “Sandy” Weinberg Jr. and Kevin Hayslett, released the following statement:
“Nick and the entire ‘Hogan’ Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena – a court of law. The family’s primary focus and concern still remains for the continued recovery of Nick’s longtime friend John Graziano. The Bolleas will also continue to stand by the Graziano family and help them in any way they can.
“The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his. Because of what happened to John, the entire Bollea family will make it a priority to increase public awareness about the importance of always wearing your seatbelt.
“There has been much speculation as to the speed and wet road conditions surrounding this accident. Although all the evidence has not been evaluated, preliminary reports from the experts indicate that this was not, in fact, a high-speed accident.
“Because Nick is still a juvenile and has no prior criminal record, we are disappointed that he is being charged as an adult offender. However, we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident. We ask all who follow these events to keep an open mind as to the facts until they have been ultimately determined. Finally, we thank all who have prayed for John’s recovery and ask for your continued support and prayers.”

Um, so does that mean it’s all John’s fault because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt? Nick’s an asshole. He’s this stupid rich kid who thinks he can do whatever he wants. Same shitty people just different names.

People are responsible for passengers, and that means you make them buckle up. They say he had been drinking the night before, and he is a minor. If he is resonsible, and it seems he may be, he should be tried as an adult. He is grown enough to drive like a man, drink like a man, then do your time like a man.

HAHAHAHA I am glad that he got arrested what a little prick with no respect and no common sense. If I was him and I pretty much made my best friend a vegetable for life I would want to kill myself, he shows no remorse what-so-ever. I hope he does time, maybe he will learn a lesson. He can sit and rot and think about his friend who will never walk, talk or breath again without the assistance of a machine. I am so sick of all these rich pricks thinking that they are invisible. They are all just trash with money, nothing more nothing less if their daddy didn’t have big bucks they would be in the trailer park with the rest of the T.W.A’s. (Trashy White A**holes)

His family is saying it’s his first “offense”. Um no. He’s been ticketed, pulled over and warned and clocked many, many times going too fast. I’m glad he is being tried as an adult.

Melissa: Why do they have to be “trashy white a**holes”? I agree with most of the comments here though. He needs to serve his time, get a life sentence on his ass. If I was the other boys family I’d press charges and push as hard as I could to put that idiot behind bars.
And he deserves to be tried as an adult. Like someone stated, it’s not his first offense. Well, it’s his first documented offense, he told some reporter that he got caught like, 4 times in one day for speeding WAYYYYY over the speed limit, and all of the cops let him go with a warning. He’s a retard and needs to be put away.
