Katie Holmes in the New York Marathon!
Katie Holmes today joined more than 39,000 other runners competing in the New York marathon.
With husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri, 1, cheering her on at the finish line, Holmes completed the 42.1km (26.2 mile) run in 5 hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds. Cruise’s mother and Holmes’ parents were also on hand to see her complete the marathon.
Holmes, 28, has previously credited running with helping her shift the weight she gained while pregnant with Suri.
“I have always loved to run,” Holmes told Harper’s Bazaar in March. “It has helped me lose the extra baby weight.”
British world record-holder Paula Radcliffe won the women’s event, finishing in 2 hours 23 minutes and 9 seconds.
The men’s event was won by Kenyan Martin Lel, in 2 hours 9 minutes and 3 seconds.

Good for her. I always have a new form of respect for anybody who runs a marathon. That is serious determination and prepapartion. It takes a lot of sticktoitiveness!!!

Hey, people, how about a positive comment??!! She just finished running a 5 hour marathon!! And I’m sure she had a sports bra on; if you have ever ran any distance at all, you would know that you couldn’t last a half mile without one. Anyway…kudos to her. That is NOT an easy feat.

Chances are there is a sports bra in that tank she has on. A lot of athletic companies (i.e. Champion) have them. And they will work on those who have smaller bust sizes.

Thank you Blondie and Cam for commenting on the Sports bra thing as well. I almost posted that previously but skipped over it. I am sure as well that she had one on. Perhaps Gemma is the one who needs to find out about Sports Bras.
