Naomi Watts to star in “The Birds” remake!
New mom Naomi Watts is to take on Tippi Hedren’s iconic film role in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock thriller The Birds.
The actress will play Melanie Daniels in the new film, an updated adaptation of the classic Daphne du Maurier novel, in which a woman is attacked by a flock of angry birds on a remote island.
Casino Royale filmmaker Martin Campbell is in negotiations to direct the movie.

Goody!!!! I hope the director sticks to Daphne Du Maurier’s story and doesn’t just do a remake of the film. The story is better than the film, imo.
