Evan Rachel Wood signing a recording contract!
According to sources close to EW.com, “Across the Universe” star Evan Rachel Wood is close to signing a recording contract with Interscope Records, which also happens to be boyfriend Marilyn Manson’s label. The deal is “still in negotiations,” says an insider. Look for an announcement in the coming weeks. Her pending deal is considered to be a direct result of her vocal success in the Beatles-inspired “Across the Universe.”

Well, NOW the mystery of WHY she would ever want to hook up with Grandpa Manson is solved! She was staging for her own possible music career. I knew it couldn’t be because she’s actually attracted to him. She is so pretty and talented, and now she seems sullied to me. I don’t think her singing will go anywhere, but I have been wrong before. Also, I USED to LOVE Marilyn! I thought he was so cool and original and anti-establishment, a true underdog. NOW, I think he’s a jerk for treating Dita like shit and cheating on her (althought Dita should have known what she was getting into there - you can’t CHANGE a rock star) … AND he’s always accusing other bands of being unoriginal and copying him! Well, I think it’s obvious that he has gotten ideas from David Bowie and Alice Cooper to name a few. His best hit was a remake of the Eurythmic’s “Sweet Dreams” for pete’s sake! The ONLY original thing about him is his cool concept for the name of his band and band members - combining the name’s of serial killers with the names of famous women, such as: Twiggy Ramirez = 60’s model TWIGGY + serial killer “Nightstalker” Richard Ramirez! How CLEVER! Anyway, Evan! Get away from this creep! You can do much better! God, your parents must be absolutely mortified! You are GREAT in every movie I have seen you in so far, especially Pretty Persuasion! That was intense! You are young now and wont realize until later that Marilyn was a huge mistake and a waste of time for you. Good Luck! I see an Oscar in your future, but you gotta get rid of this excess baggage quick!

her voice is extremely annoying in Across the Universe and now she’s coming out with an album. GRR

her voice is so nasally! i am glad i am not the only one that was not blown away.

She has a couple of recordings she did when she was 14 and they are very good. You can find them on the internet. One is called Silver and Gold. It is a Christmas song and a little corny, but her voice is solid.
She was singing in character for ATU, and can sing different styles of music. I had already heard about this a year ago. They made this offer to her BEFORE she started dating Manson. Interscope released Across The Universe soundtrack and that is how she got the offer.
She has actual talent as opposed to pop stars such as Hilary Duff and Jennifer Lopez. I hope she does this. Don’t sell her short.

Im a massive fan of MM but i hope if her record deal comes through, he wil stay focused on his own career an not lose himself in hers
