Britney Spears Begins Parenting Program
Britney Spears arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel Wednesday for her first Parenting Without Conflict session, a source close to the singer says.
“She’s not nervous, she’s actually looking forward to it,” says the source.
The singer’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is reportedly at the hotel as well.
Although the program strongly urges that parents take the course together, it is not mandatory. The program, which lasts six sessions, teaches cooperative parenting and communication skills.
Part of the program is doing drills called “polite requests.”
“Instead of saying ‘You’re always bringing the kids home late because you’re an insensitive jerk,’” explains Craig Ogulnick, a supervisor for the program, “We teach parents instead to say ‘When you bring the kids home late, I feel like you’re not valuing my time, and I feel hurt or angry as a result.”
The program is one of many requirements that L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered the pop star to complete.
Both Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, are required to show in court Friday for a progress review.
By then, they must have also completed at least three sessions together of their joint co-parenting counseling, which is being held at a hotel as well, according to the source.
In addition, Spears must also complete three individual counseling sessions “to address parenting issues.”
As of now, Federline retains physical custody of sons Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1. Spears has monitored visitation rights.

Normal moms or dads in this situation as BS/KF would have no visitation rights and totally different situation. They are going easy on her just becuase she is a celeb. This is depressing.

You know what? Its very easy for him to sit there and act like he has it all together to raise his kids with Britney Spears, so why wasn’t he able to raise his kids with Shar Jackson…. Maybe because Shar doesn’t have the money to support him like the way Britney Spears has. He gets money from her to support those children with the roof over their heads, the food they eat, the clothing they wear and the Nanny that takes care of those boys while there in the custodial parents care which is Kevin Federline…. Its easy to fight with your x-wife for full custody of your children when you know it will be her flipping the bill not you working hard like most of us normal single parents! Britney supports this man financially doesn’t anybody realize that? She does her part as a parent she is the full money maker when in fact it should be the Dad. She is in role reversal here with Kevin. She has made mistakes, but you no what she is a young mother who doesn’t know better. There is nobody there to teach her right from wrong. They are there though with there hands out. Her whole family have what they have because of her success, its sad how family’s feed off thier celebrity family members…..
