Any Coldplay fans out there?

Coldplay has been one of my favorite bands since they released Parachutes back in 1999. They put WAY too much time between their albums (if you ask me) so I was glad to hear they’re back in the studio working on another ablum!
Coldplay have revealed the first details of their new album including a number of songs up for consideration for the final track listing.
Writing on their official blog the band announced that they had just returned to the studio after a month off. They wrote: “The plan has always been to make a short record. No more than 42 minutes. 9 songs (give or take).”
The songs which might make it to the final cut include ‘Lost!’, ‘Cemeteries Of London’, ‘Violet Hill’. ‘Poppy Fields’, ‘42’, ‘Yes!’, Leftrightleftrightleft’ and ‘Rainy Day’. The blog also stated that fans can expect two songs that won’t feature on the album to be released “independently” as well.
Also: Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin said the album will feature what he called a quintessential song that everybody should hear “before we die.”
“In order for us to get excited about a new album, we have to have one song that we feel like everybody has to hear … before we die, otherwise we’ll be terribly depressed,” Martin said. “So luckily with this new record we’re going to make, we have that one song.”
“I can’t tell you about it, but it’s basically genius,” he joked.

I love Coldplay! I cannot wait for their new album. Has anybody ever seen them live? I’ve always wanted to buy tix, but they are always so expensive, I know proceeds go to charity tho.
‘Fix You’ has got to be the best song ever.

I like their music ok, but I saw them on MHD a couple of weeks ago and the singer drives me crazy the way he acts on stage. He seems to be one of those people that are trying to be different just for the sake of being different. OIf course a lot of really good musicians are weird, and maybe that’s why they write good music. I just didn’t get this guy.

They’re really one terrific band. And I still get chills just remembering how awesome they were at their concert which I went to. Everyone just sang along and not missing a single note. It was great.
