Private Practice still sucks.
Man, Kate Walsh left the #1 show on TV (well, in my book) to join the train wreck that is Private Practice? PP is just getting worse - if that’s even possible! Last night’s episode was SO bad, I actually fast-forwarded about 15 minutes of the whole baby-switcheroo storyline.
ABC - doing a little damage control - actually showed us episode 3 last night. Apparently episode 3 was better than episode 2. And if that’s the case - please don’t ever air episode 2.
The show SUCKS! Addison isn’t even the same character since leaving Seattle! (And is it just me - or was she prettier on Grey’s Anatomy?)
The whole show should be scrapped at this rate - I think it will take some sort of miracle to turn it around.
Did you guys watch it? Am I wrong?

I completely agree, the show is horrible. It is so slow and boring. They need to cancel it and let Kate back on Grey’s. I believe that in the beginning Shondra said Kate could come back to Grey’s if the show did bad.

It is really bad. I want to like it, but I don’t know what it is, just doesn’t gel. Fine actors, maybe the writing just sucks on this one.

Yep - don’t like the storylines. The whole baby switching story was SO stupid. When does that really happen these days?

I agree. I gave up on it last night. It has to be the writing, the actors all seem good. There’s just no life in the show. I don’t think that I’ll be watching anymore, and I don’t think it will be around much longer. For some reason, I was thinking the same thing about Kate looking so much prettier before…

I totally agree….I’m not the biggest fan of the show…..don’t get me wrong, I love Kate Walsh…but I liked her on Greys..right now it’s like Kate playing Merdith Grey’s character in LA.

And yet the show that sucks won the key demographic for it’s time slot! It’s a fine show that grows on you if they keep Violet on a leash and in the background.
The first episode was to set up mostly Violet and Cooper, and it sucked because of Violet. The second episode did mostly set up Sam and Naomi and it was already better. Next one sets up Pete, and hopefully more of Addison.
Let the people that know that Grey’s has become a piece of crap whine, PrP is coming out quite nice.

I don’t think it’s that great either. Why are they making her come off so needy with Peete? The show does drag. I still have it on the tivo becuase I am hoping it gets better.
That blonde cheif of the hospital is annoying and CAN’T act!

I noticed she looked better then she did on Grey’s in the 1st episode. I have the 2nd episode recorded on my TiVo just am reluctant to watch it is all.

I couldn’t watch the first eppy, it was too painful!
I am also to the point I am OVER Grey’s. The Premier sucked goat balls and we’ll see what happens in Eppy #2. I am giving it one mroe chance & then it is being deleted from my Season Pass! All the women in that show have turned into whiney whiney Meredith-like biznatches!

I’m hoping it will do better. I like a lot of the actors on there, and I loved the first season of Grey’s. The storylines are just so ridiculous! All of these crazy things happening at once at a small wellness center. Please. They should focus more on developing the characters, and not all at once. They could do a whole episode on Montgomery and her new life, then do the next episode on Sam and his problems.

I love her on Grey’s and we haven’t had this show in the UK but I am interested in seeing just how bad it is when it airs over here. It is a shame they appear to be ruining Addison cos she was the coolest female on Grey’s. Pity.

I tried to give the show a chance, but it is awful! First of all, in the second episode, the Chief from the hospital confuses the hypoccratic oath with patient confidentiality. That is simply poor writing, ignorance and a complete lack of research. The simplistic and completly predicatble plot is annoying. Give me a break! Why are all of the adult and professional(?) characters behaving as teenagers, and the absurd plot with the switched babies? That could have been good if it were written much better. I found it an annoying attempt to play heartstings.

Actually, PP doesn’t win for it’s time slot, at least not overall. That is the same argument that the GA fans use, but it doesn’t work. Overall, “Criminal Minds” beats PP hands down - 9.5 compared to 5.6, there’s no contest there people. “CSI” beats the crap out of GA the same way. Both “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” suck. They are the SSDL, and accompanied by 3 or 4 EXTREMELY bad actors who tank every show there in, and that’s not a recipe for success.

Absolutely agree! The show is so stupid. Each of the story lines in the episode are boring, ridiculous, and definitely do not have me wanting to find out what happens or want more. They can’t even keep the show in the wellness center because face it, things in such a limited setting would be boring. Can’t feel passionate about any of the characters. Gimme a break, a surfer dude as the receptionist, who’s a midwife and is supposed to be some sort of “eye candy…” Right. Someone at ABC should put a Do Not Resuscitate Order on this show and pull the plug Stat!

This show is horrible and I only watched the “back door” pilots for it. It is full of bad writing that they pile onto bad actors. Tae Diggs is awful. Its like GA went out with a camera crew and found a porn set and said “All of you ‘actors’ arent having sex today, were making a tv show.” Did anyone else notice that the surfer dude has annoyingly huge nipples? Ive crapped out better things than this after a drunken night followed by Taco Bell.
