Series Premiere of Pushing Daisies, what did you think?

So I just finished watching the premiere of Pushing Daisies with my husband. From the previews I wasn’t sure if I would like the show it seemed a little strange. I have to say though I really loved the first episode, I loved all the characters and how it flowed more like a movie than a TV show.
If nothing else it is definitely different from all the other shows on air right now and it was a refreshing change. It’s not often my husband and I can agree on a show to watch together since ESPN is not my idea of a great evening in. Pushing Daises was well written and interesting enough to keep us both watching, I’m interested to see how it does in the ratings.

I was really excited about the story line and it was ok but it just seems like a rip off of desperate housewives (narration and music identical) and a feeling of 6 feet under somehow. I don’t like either of those shows. Oh well, I’ll keep watching

I tapped it and watched it after watching the Sox beat the Angels! But I really enjoyed it. It was different than your normal show. Very much like a Tim Burton movie. I thought it was very well done and can’t wait to see future shows!

I really wanted to love this one but for some reason it just didn’t hold my interest. I found myself doing other things around the house while the show was on in the living room. Maybe I need to view it again, but I don’t know. I think it might be difficult to hold this premise for a long time. I mean how long could we stand them not being able to touch each other and all of that. I will say Swoozie Kurtz is FABULOUS (in anything she does, really)!

I too caught the Sox kicking some booty last night (!!!) and tuned in to this show. I’ve been soooo stoked to see it. It was dark like Six Feet Under but much more artsy. It reminded me a little of the feel of Big Fish. All the bright colors and the angles it was shot in along with the great premise, storyline, and likeable characters made it an amazing show. There’s nothing on TV like this and I really hope it does well and doesn’t gt canceled.

I really wanted to see it but being the only woman is a house of men and living in Canada, I was forced to watch the first leaf game.

I thought it was pretty good also but I am interested to see how the storyline goes. It is definitely different than other shows right now. I still can’t understand why the guy always has to say..”he was 26 years old, 5 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 5 minutes”….why does he do that???

I really liked it!! It was very Dr. Suess’ish. Have you seen the Cat in the Hat? It reminded me of that.

I really liked it. I think that after a while it will get annoying if they announce everyones life down to the exact minute but other than that it was great. I love Kristin Chenoworth and I can see her being sort of a villian in this, but not in a bad way. I like the way they held hands at the end although I was shouting “A minute not that long people”

I’ve never watched the show, but I’m in love with that Kristen Chenoweth chcik so maybe I should some day.

It was so different and I LOVED it. Gosh, the fact that he couldn’t touch her but loved her so much – just gut wrenching. I’m definitely a WATCHER!

Can I just say that I love Lee Pace. He is gorgeous and the most incredible actor. Plus Bryan Fuller wrote Pushing Daisies. He’s the genius behind Heroes, Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me. His shows are allways smart and original. I think it’s obvious I’ll be watching this one.
