Demi Kutcher

For some reason that just doesn’t have the same “ring” as Demi Moore. After two years of marriage, Demi is finally changing her name legally. Professionally, she will still be Demi Moore, but on everything else, She will be Kutcher.
A source told press, “Demi will be Mrs. Kutcher on her black American Express card, her passport and other official documents, but the actress will keep her name from her first marriage to Freddie Moore for all her professional endeavors.”
If it took my wife two years to change her name (if I wasn’t a female) I would consider something to be wrong. Maybe that’s just me though.

She wants to hire a P I to spy on him, for cheating or two timing her and having fun.. and it’s easier to get an agency to do it if you have the same last name as your hubby.

I didn’t change my name, and I’m still happy and married. I think it would be a bigger decision when you have a brand already…

I don’t see why a woman HAS to take her husband’s last name. Seriously…let’s get over it, people! Especially not a woman who has made a name for herself already. I’d love to see a man consider changing his name if the tables were turned.

I personally, wanted to take my husband’s name, but I know lots of women who choose not to for the same reason, one case in particular, a woman I work with, is an attorney, and her husband’s name is crazy hard to spell and pronounce…I think it’s about personal prefrence.
The first poster has a point, if she wants to hire someone to spy on him, it’s easier to do if you give them info with the same last name…so you don’t have to dig out the marriage cert. every time you hire a PI.

You’d be upset if your wife didn’t take your name?? What are you? 80? Women in their 40′s, like her, are already established. We have businesses, professions, etc. Why would we change our name? I didn’t and my husband has never minded.
If a woman wants to, great, but it shouldn’t be expected any more.In fact, I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. Did I wake up in the 60s?
