Winona Back on screen!

Winona Ryder is going to appear in a movie finally! After the crappy wonderful performance that Winona delivered in Mr. Deeds, I was hoping it was going to be a sequel to Heathers or Reality Bites, but no. Miss Ryder is scheduled to appear in the movie Informers with Mikey Rourke. Along with a whole long list of famous faces including Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Brandon Routh, Ashley Olsen and Austin Nichols. The film, set back in the 1980′s in LA, follows a week in the life of a group of morally challenged adult characters – a movie executive, his wife, his mistress, a rock star, a vampire and a kidnapper. Winona will play a newscaster who has just been dumped after a long affair with the married producer.
When reading about this movie I thought to myself 1- Hollywood never makes movies about adultry; 2-This doesn’t sound like a horrible movie. It might be one I might actually go and watch. Then I got to the vampire part of the story and was a little confused and terrified at the same time. How does that fit in with everything else and how odd and random is that?

This is the movie based on a book by Bret Easton Ellis, the same guy that wrote American Psycho(which was made into an awesome flick with Christian Bale).
This should be great too.

I really miss seeing Winona on the big screen. That alone will be worth the price of admission for me

I’m excited to see this – Bret Easton Ellis is my favorite author. They also turned Less Than Zero into a movie (it starred Andrew McCarthy and Robert Downey Jr), Rules of Attraction (James VanDerBeek & Jessica Biel), and I’m waiting for them to turn Glamorama into a movie. Good stuff, all about drugged up, rich teenagers in the 80′s.
