Bale feels ‘natural’ speaking with American accent
British actor Christian Bale is so fond of the American accent he adopted to play the superhero in Batman Begins, he’s become a “natural” at it. The star admits he got so comfortable talking with the twang, he found it difficult to revert to his native English accent.
He says, “I’m in a very schizophrenic position now where I feel as natural speaking American as I do English.”
“It took a really long time for my English accent to come back again. I thought, ‘Oh shit, what’s happened?’ It’s a matter of your muscles changing and if you’re doing something for 10 months, your mouth changes completely.”
