Maybe this is why Angelina’s always holding Zahara?
Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara could be forced to undergo corrective surgery on her hip. The star and partner Brad Pitt are considering the operation, which could cure the two-year-old’s hip dysplasia, a congenital condition.
The condition means the tot’s thigh is connected to the hip improperly and may affect her ability to walk in the future. According to reports, Zahara needs braces to help re-set her limbs. A source tells the Star magazine, the couple “will do whatever it takes” to ensure their child is “happy and healthy.”
The insider adds, “Brad and Angelina have talked with their pediatrician, who told them Zahara may need to have surgery.”
Jolie and Pitt adopted Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 and the little girl has already had a rough ride through life – when the actress adopted her, she was suffering from malnutrition and dehydration and medics also discovered the African tot had a rickets fracture in her arm. Zahara also had salmonella poisoning.

I am SHOCKED that no one has mentioned anything about this little girl having some sort of problem!!! Even on sites like this, nobody has ever commented about the fact that when she IS actually walking or playing she seems to have a distinct limp. Go back and watch video of her playing at the NYC park w/ Brad, Mad and Pax. I thought she had a problem with her ankle as it looks somewhat turned in on the video but I guess it is her hip that is the problem. I wonder if they made her condition worse by carrying her the Baby Bjorn all the time as some say they can cause hip / pelvis problems.
I can’t stand Brad and Angie (total hippocrates)but the kids are adorable and I wish the best for little Z.

Angelina always carried Maddox around too. It’s normal when they’re babies to do that but if you do it too much it can cause problems. My guess is the constant carrying combined with weakened bones (malnutrition other maladies) caused the joint to grow wrong. Of course Jolie is Mother Theresa so no one questions her parenting skills.

Karen, I also question some of Angelina Jolie’s parenting decisions, but congenital hip dysplasia usually requires surgery to correct, or at least very early treatment with braces. Perhaps Zahara’s bones weren’t strong enough to withstand treatment when she was smaller. Perhaps it wasn’t clear whether she had a congenital condition or one that would improve with proper nutrition.
Additionally, very young children, especially those who spent their early months without a consistent caregiver, generally need a lot of close contact. The psychological benefits of being close to Mommy may outweigh the risk of aggravating physical problems, in Zahara’s case.
And Surprised? The word you’re looking for is “hypocrites.” Angelina and Brad may be many things, but they are not the fathers of medicine.

Carrying your babies has nothing to do with causing hip problems, puh-lease…My 2 month old had to have a hip ultrasound bc her pediatrician thought she had the same problem. Her little thigh wrinkles weren’t symmetrical and that could indicate future hip complications. THANK GOD she has nothing wrong with her hips, she’s just a little chubby
But I feel for them bc when my daughter’s doc told us that it could have been a possibility, my husband and I both wanted to cry. Get better Zahara!

Some people are so busy hating Angelina for thier perception of her loving the 3 older children more than Shiloh, that they resent any attention any of them receive. If this is true, which I doubt, because Angelina has never had a thought or event in her life which wasn’t shared with the world, it should make some recoil with their hateful comments about innocent children.

And correcting someone’s spelling errors….puh-lease….get over it! You know what he/she meant so move on!!
They ARE total HYPOCRITES!! They are working on a GREEN project in New Orleans but for the fund raiser in Long Island they took a HELICOPTER from NYC. What a waste of fuel and money!!! They are pushing green but don’t live by those standards themselves.

I just saw a video recently of Brad and Zahara at the park, and she didn’t seem to be having any problem at all, she was running all over the place, and brad could hardly keep up with her..so Im hoping that this is another ploy by the Brangalina team to bring some sympathy to them..altho it would be really sad to use one of thier kids for that…
