An out-of-shape, out-of-touch Britney Spears delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance of the MTV Video Music Awards — but for all the wrong reasons. Kicking off the show Sunday night with her new single, “Gimme More,” Spears looked bleary and unprepared — much like her recent tabloid exploits on the streets of Los Angeles.
She lazily walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. It appeared she had forgotten the entire art of lip-synching; and, perhaps most unforgivable given her once taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape.
Even the celebrity-studded audience seemed bewildered. 50 Cent looked at Spears with a confused expression; Diddy, her new best friend, was expressionless.

A source tells X17 Brit found out about Sarah Silverman’s crappy line about Britney’s babies just moments before she took the stage to perform “Gimme More.” Needless to say, Britney was PISSED! … as any mom would be. Britney was so upset she walked through her performance just to get it over with (despite encouragement from her friends, including Sam who was apparently yelling at Sarah backstage) to skip out on it all together). She held up her end of the bargain and got a major slap in the face from Sarah.

afkjsf they are saying Britney found out about what Sarah was going to say after her performance. It was leaked to her.
Sarah Silverman is white trash. If the only way you can get a laugh is at someone’s expense, you have zero talent. She is a schoolyard bully. Let’s hope Sarah Silverman doesn’t procreate.
However, having said that, Britney should have kicked ass regardless of what white trash Silverman was going to say after her performance.

She has no one to blame but herself. If MY career depended on that performance, I think I would have taken it a little more seriously and NOT stayed out til 3am.

If it were true that she was upset at the comments of Sarah Silverman, that would have been more of a reason to rock the performance.

She is always blaming others. She fires anyone who works with her as quickly as she hires them. She has major issues.
She was not ready, as her body showed. She didn’t even try to look like she was lip syncing either, where was her fake headset she usually wears to make it seem more realistic?
Her hair looked like crap, her outfit and body looked like crap, the song is crap, she looked scared and out of it.
She should have put in her best effort instead of her usual effort. Horrible.
Sarah was right on in her assessment. I am quite sure Britney got a laugh when she made fun of Paris when she got sent to jail, but not funny when it is her being made fun of. I laughed my ass off.
Britney is no comeback queen, she is the trainwreck queen.

er….I am by no means a Britney fan but I would hardly say she is out of shape. She looks fine. Her performance was definately shitty… I feel bad for her. Hope she finds happiness and concentrates more on her familly.
