I went and saw 3:10 To Yuma last night…

And I absolutey LOVED it. Loved it, loved it, loved it! I read a review before I saw it that said it was the “best western since Unforgiven“. And I completely agree! I drug Troy to see it with me, and he usually hates westerns. As soon as the credits started to roll, he says “I REALLY loved it!”
I think what sets this movie apart from all the crummy westerns of the last decade or so, is that Yuma had an amazing script. It was so well written, you completely get lost in the two main characters played by Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. Their characters were so complex you never really know what’s going on – until the very end.
I never saw the original movie (filmed in1957) so I didn’t know what to expect. I can’t imagine anyone coming up with anything negative to say about this movie. It was unbelievably good. I was totally shocked at HOW great of a movie this was.

Kudos to Russell Crowe (always perfect), Christian Bale (the man doesn’t make a bad movie) and Ben Foster (who could never play in a romantic comedy because he’s got the “creepy guy” thing DOWN!).

My husband went and saw it, and said he loved it. He actually said, he choked back some tears. I really wasn’t interested in seeing it, but now I can’t wait too.
