Santa Monica police confirmed that officers responded to an attempted suicide at Owen Wilson’s house, according to the police log.

The department’s “Call for Service Report” posted online shows that the report came in at 12:08 p.m. Sunday from Wilson’s 23rd Street address and that officers cleared the case five hours later.

The call was logged as “Attempt Suicide” – the first official confirmation of the reason for the call.

No other details were provided.

Wilson, 38, was recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He issued a statement pleading for privacy to allow him to “receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”

Think how Owen must feel that this is suddenly all over the news everywhere. Why do we all need to know about this. If I were him I’d feel so embarrassed and bad and hurt. I’m just sorry to hear this. This shouldn’t be public. I like Owen Wilson.

As someone that recently lost someone to suicide, I can say that the media attention, regardless of whatever outlet, can/will compound the problem. Fernandala, I am not sure if he is feeling embarrasment, bad, or hurt, but clearly, he in a GREAT deal of pain. So much that he believes that the only way to escape it is to end his life. Sadly, the statistics are against him if he does not receive treatment for his situation. People that have attempted suicide at least once, will most likely try again. He will need to come to a realization that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem and it will affect people close to him for the rest of their lives. God give him strength!!

A little missleading that the Santa Monica Police released the call log and confirmed Owen Wilson suicide failure. SMPD puts their entire call log on their website every day for every radio broadcast/call, not just 911. They do this for every day, not just the day insane celebs attempt to end it all. So if you want to see the log for last Sat its there. Along with all arrests made.
