Ron Livingston has joinged the cast of “The Time Traveler’s Wife”

Ron Livingston has joined the cast of New Line Cinema’s ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife.’
Livingston will join Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams, who will play the time-challenged lovers in this adaptation of the Audrey Niffenegger novel directed by Robert Schwentke.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Livingston will play the man’s friend, an attorney who works for non-profit organizations.
The story is a fantastical play of time and situation, the librarian at Chicago’s Newberry Library has a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel forward and backward, and in the process he falls in love with a woman played by McAdams, but the time travel plays havoc with their chronological ages causing them to be out of sync.
Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company and Nick Wechsler are producing the picture.
A September production start is planned. Scribes Jeremy Leven and Bruce Joel Rubin wrote the adaptation.
