Is Angelina fighting a deadly disease?

According to Star she is!
For months, Angelina Jolie, has looked like she’s suffering form a serious eating disorder. Her weight has plunged drastically, to a frightening 95 pounds, she has virtually no appetite, and insiders say she’s been dizzy, weak and shaky and even collapsed at one point.
But now a source tells Star that friends and family of Angie fear that all these symptoms may be pointing to something far more serious than an eating disorder – they’re afraid Angie could be fighting a potentially deadly liver disease!
“Angelina has had a lot of doctor’s appointments – some she’s gone to, some she’s skipped,” a source notes. Meanwhile, adds the insider, Brad has confided to family members that Angie has an illness that isn’t going away something she “will have to live with…and control with medication.”
Brad says the source, finally “convinced Angelina to go see a doctor because he was afraid something was very wrong with her. She doesn’t have much of an appetite and is eating very little. Tests were run and Brad’s family were led to believe that her illness might be something like hepatitis, but since then he’s clammed up, I think he knows what’s wrong, but he’s keeping it from people.”
Donald Marks M.C. an infectious disease and hepatitis expert at Cooper Green Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, who has not treated Angie, says that her symptoms appear consistent with hepatitis, a viral infection that can be lethal.
“People with hepatitis, which is an inflammation of the liver, suffer nausea, vomiting, anorexia, and diarrhea,” he says, adding that Angelina’s sallow complexion and dramatic weight loss could be telltale signals of the disease.
More after the jump!
Angie had admitted that she was a heroin user, and she also has many tattoos – both of which, medical experts note, are major risk factors for contracting hepatitis B and C, which can destroy the liver.
Jacob Teitelbaum, M.D. a Maryland based expert on diseases of the immune system and author of From Fatigued to Fantastic, points out that these two strains of the hepatitis virus can remain dormant in the body for years. And stress, say experts, can activate the virus, triggering visible symptoms.
Angelina has been particularly stressed since her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer in January. “Malnutrition and grief can affect the immune system and a virus that’s been dormant can attack, especially if you’re under stress,” explains Dr. Teitelbaum, who does not treat Angelina.
Although the source tells Star that “Brad’s family is worried about getting too close to Angie,” he has told them not to worry about catching anything from her.
“Perhaps it’s because he knows that (hepatitis B and C) can only be transmitted by bodily fluids or blood,” says the source. “Some family members are afraid that Brad might be in danger, but he just shrugs it off.”
Angelina, meanwhile, is taking prescribed medication, says the source. “She’s been having terrible mood swing sand it might be because of the medication,” the source adds. But while Brad seems concerned about her health, all is not well in his relationship with Angie, insiders report.
“They’re fighting a lot,” the source says. “Angelina’s moods are up and down and often volatile. She’s lashed out at Brad telling him, “The only reason I’m with you is you’re a mother to the children!” Brad has a much more nurturing, maternal side to him than Angelina.”
During the couple’s recent stay in Chicago where Angelina was working on her new movie, Brad didn’t visit her at work, say set insiders.
“While she seemed happy to be working, there was a certain sadness about her, maybe having to do with her personal life,” says one source. Another crew member adds, “I don’t think they’re doing so well. Brad hasn’t been here, and Angie told me herself that they’re fighting.”
But despite the tenuous state of their relationship, Brad is still so concerned about Angie’s health, an insider says, that he had her draft a will. Should anything happen to her, he’d get full custody of their children.
“They did it in the beginning of July,” a source tells Star. “I think Brad felt it was necessary at the time. Angelina agreed because there are children involved, and she doesn’t want to leave things up in the air.”

That’s some serious claim they have there which I doubt that it’s even real… Wonder if they can sue the magazine for defamation if it’s not real?

It sounds ridiculous. I mean they come up with these important health issues and claim they are right about Jolie’s state… Ahem.

Her mother died. People scoff at that, but if you have gone through your mother dying, you would know it is nothing to make fun of. She probably is depressed. But Lauren, DUMB ASS, not all people go your route and take medication. There are other ways to get over depression, healthier ways, that do work.

I just hope she’s getting whatever help she needs so she’ll be around to see her kids grow up. I lost my dad to cancer and yes it was hard, but I had to stay healthy for my kids. AJ needs help.

as i get older… I realize that the only thing that matters is human kindness. Being moody is a full time job. I hope Brad can be man enough to stay in this committed relationship throught the hard times.
Good Luck to Angie. I would be sick to if my momma past.
