Peter Sarsgaard contracted Lyme’s Disease.
Actor Peter Sarsgaard returned to New York with Lyme disease he got on vacation with girlfriend Maggie Gyllenhaal and their daughter, Ramona, OK! reports.
The threesome were on a holiday at Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts when the actor was stricken with the disease carried by ticks, the magazine said. “Peter got Lyme disease from a tick and had to leave Martha’s Vineyard for a week,” a source said. Doctors reportedly recommended Sarsgaard return to his New York home to recuperate.

My son was hospitalized for a week with a serious joint infection due to undiagnosed lyme disease. He had been in and out of the emergency room for several monts with all kinds of weird symptoms but when he was finially diagnosed, he got better wihtin a few weeks of taking heavy duty antibiotics. Lyme disease is no joke, especially in the northeast.

You should know that Lyme disease can be fatal and has been shown to pass from mother to fetus which also means it may be sexually transmitted, so it isn’t just Peter who should worry now. Maggie will have to worry as well. If you haven’t seen the movie Under Our Skin, then you literally don’t know the truth about Lyme disease. Maggie needs to see the movie for her own sake.
